Birch Ridge is located in Soldotna, Alaska, just 3 miles from the world's most famous salmon fishing river, the Kenai River.
Birch Ridge first opened for play in 1973. The course was designed by Tom Smith and Charlie Foster.
Birch Ridge is a nine hole privately owned public golf resort. The golf course features rolling hills, fairly small sloped greens, grass bunkers with water guarding their #2 green. Their roughs are made up of Alaskan tundra and native timber, a true golfing challenge.
Bring your camera, as you will enjoy some of the finest views in Alaska. Holes number 4 & 5 overlook Mt. Redoubt and Mt. Iliamna, which are active volcanoes; the last major eruption was 04/21/90.
Wildlife, including Alaska's famous moose are frequent visitors on this course.
